Modified atmosphere vacuum packaging
Modified atmosphere vacuum packaging means the replacement of the air with a mixture of atmospheric gases, suppressing germs development – the cutting edge technology to preserve quality and freshness of foods.
The shelf life can be extended by several times with no need to freeze and no use of any chemical additives or preservatives.
In order to endure modified atmosphere vacuum packing the basic film elements are complemented with another layer – Ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH).
Its barrier properties are ten times higher than those of PET, and 3,5 times higher than those of polyamide.
This packaging is highly resistant to oxygen and other gases, water condensate, heat and frost; it preserves flavour and taste volatile substances.
